TomG – Would like to have 3 GM meetings Sept/Oct, Jan/Feb, May/June

GTHLA Kids

-clinics involved 6-12 kids through league connections

-Tom introduces idea of possible Multi-Generational Game

-Hockey Summit of the Arts will once again include Novice Game

WOMEN Involvement

-More women and intermingling going strong

-Discussions have occurred with Cor and Angie about increasing

-Many Blackhearts have joined other teams

-Wintermingle has been successful

-Kerri hopes for other women teams

-Tom reminds that women can play on as many teams as they want

-There is hope that Division 1 teams will open their doors

CLINICS

-3 have happened

-revamping in progress to increase interest and ability to support itself

-Teams interested in having a "practice" should contact Goodwin or Sean Markle

HAA

-Hockey Association of the Arts

-HAA represents the umbrella of the League(s), Patch, NYC and Summit

-Montreal started a league w/ same concept

-Halifax has a regular pick up

PLAYOFF ELIGIBILITY

-Most teams have submitted rosters

-Discussion regarding players eligibility playing 2 separate tiers

-decision to allow GM’s of affected tiers to decide

-must be unanimous

-Will NOT dictate how the schedule is determined

-Women can play on any teams in any tier

-People can check the website regarding eligibility rules (same as last year)

-Hard copy of rules to be at meetings

MANAGEMENT OF LEAGUE

-organizing committee meeting to happen on Feb 24^th

-Fairplay, Social, Membership, Communication, Finances and Operations hot topics

-this will lead eventually to a League Board
